The Handmade Process

1. The first step is to condition the clay. This just means softening it up to make it easier to work with.

2.  The next step is to roll the clay out into an even disc so it is ready for the earrings to be cut out.

3. The clay is then cut out into the desired shape ready to be baked.

4. After all the earrings have been cut out the are placed on a sheet of baking paper and baked at 110.c for 30 mins.

5. When the earrings come out the oven they are left to cool & harden. When they are ready the posts are attached to the back of the earring.

6. When all the posts are attached, they are left to dry for 28 hours. They are then packed and posted to your door!

With larger clay pieces the earrings will usually be sanded, buffed and rinsed to get the best possible result for you.
